I have extensive experience as a Teacher, Head Teacher, Educational Adviser and Head of Service. Following 15 years teaching in the primary and pre-five sectors I held Head Teacher posts in London and Aberdeenshire before becoming an Educational Adviser for Aberdeen City. In 1996 I was promoted to the post of Head of Service with North Ayrshire Council with responsibility for Pre-Five & Primary Education and Cultural Services. Since April 2006 I have worked as an Educational Consultant on various projects including work on a Curriculum for Excellence for Learning and Teaching Scotland. Completed Trainer Accreditation Programme in de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats and CoRT1 in June 2007. Phases: School Leadership and Management, Pre-Five and Primary Education, Inclusion and Integrated Service Delivery.
